Veil/Ruband – Tajikistan early 1900’s. Women's embroidered face covering, ruband, used during the wedding ceremony - an ancient nuptial garment of Tajik women living in the Pamir mountains, but fell out of use around the early 1900’s. Embroidered with cotton base and silk threads.
